m.a.x. museo

19.05.2018—23.09.2018

Inauguration: Friday 18.05.2018, 7 p.m.

Exhibition curated by: Giovanna Castiglioni, Carlo Castiglioni, Nicoletta Ossanna Cavadini

On the occasion of the centenary of his birth, the exhibition celebrates a great protagonist of the golden age of design in the sixties: Achille Castiglioni (1918-2002), an internationally renowned architect with a pregnant visionary insight, who created over 150 objects, some acknowledged as true icons of modernity.

The exhibition focuses on the visual history of Castiglioni’s work, in collaboration with the Archives of the Achille Castiglioni Foundation, presenting a highly enjoyable visual heritage through sketches, drawings and objects that showcase his ideas and the perfect combination of simplicity and irony, as well as his close partnership with the Swiss graphic designer Max Huber, with whom he worked above all on his exhibition installations.
