Manlio Monti: graphic work and its genesis

10.04.2021—03.06.2021
The exhibition, which is part of the strand of the genius loci, presenting artists with studios in the Ticino area, proposes the research into graphic technique and its dissemination conducted by Manlio Monti. In particular, it will exhibit the whole collection of prints of Club 365, a project created by Manlio Monti in 1998, to foster a knowledge and spread of intaglio engraving. The name Club 365 derives from the fact that the members, in joining with a subscription, finance the project to create a graphic portfolio each year by assigning an engraving to three established and budding artists. At a cost of one franc a day, a collection of great interest has developed over the years. These are numbered prints, signed by their authors and accompanied by an explanation and a biography of the artist. The edition, for each of them, is limited to sixty copies.
The exhibition displays all the works produced to date for Club 365 by the artists in alphabetical order: Bruno Aller, Ivàn Araujo, Vincenzo Arena, Arion Bajrami, Jean Marie Balogh, Gianluigi Bellucci, Aldo Bertolini, Marina Bindella, Giancarlo Bisi, Luigi Boille, Adalberto Borioli, Riccardo Bucella, Gianfredo Camesi, Alessia Consiglio, Rosanna Carloni, Giovanni Carta, Davide Cascio, Pierre Casè, Daniele Cleis, Giuseppe De Giacomi, Elisabetta Diamanti, Pietro Diana, Paolo D’Orazio, Nino Dore, Samuele Gabai, Myriam Gesalaga, Calisto Gritti, Marisa Facchinetti, Renzo Ferrari, Dominique Fidanza, Manuela Ferretti, Lucilla Caporilli Ferro, Carla Ferrioli, Alessandro Fornaci, Luciano Fornera, Gabriella Locci, Carlo Lorenzetti, Francesco Lorenzetti, Bernard Mandeville, Giovanna Martinelli, Paolo Mazzucchelli, Luca Mengoni, Giacomo Meschini, Manlio Monti, Marco Mucha, Gianluca Murasecchi, Francine Mury, Carlo Nangeroni, Giulia Napoleone, Achille Pace, Igino Panzino, Flavio Paolucci, Piergiorgio Piffaretti, Gianni Realini, Reto Rigassi, Carmen Santacatalina, Pasquale Santoro, Maurizio Scotti, Guido Strazza, George Tannò, Angelo Titonel, Italo Valenti, Mauro Valsangiacomo, Sidi Vanetti.
