Art rooms: artistic creation in the new generations

18.12.2020—14.03.2021
The exhibition, hosted at the Spazio Officina, aims to offer young artists an opportunity to present their creations, in a particularly complex moment for the world of culture and much else. The exhibition takes its name from the concept of the “art room” or “artist’s room”, as a physical but also an ideal space, of inwardness and creativity. In the exhibition, eight artists who have recently obtained a university degree (Bachelor of Arts) exhibit their works, expressing themselves in different techniques ranging from graphics to acrylic painting, photography, ceramics, hyper-realistic drawing, monochrome printing, sculpture, set design, illustration and animation. The Department of Cultural Activities and the Chiasso Cultural Centre believe firmly in the possibility of dealing with the current crisis so that it becomes an opportunity for the younger generation to embrace the various artistic forms, supporting them concretely and encouraging the public to keep alive the pleasure that culture can transmit.
The exhibition is curated by Antonio d’Avossa and Nicoletta Ossanna Cavadini.
The artists exhibited are:
Valerio Abate, Gabriele Bavera, Antonia Boschetti, Vanessa Fraschina, Lorenzo Terzaghi, Gianna Tönz, Tatiana Valsangiacomo, Daniele Walker.
